Sierra Pump Solutions' Employee Wellness Program

Wellness Incentive
To save money on your medical premiums, Sierra Pump Solutions offers employees a wellness incentive. The wellness incentive is made up of three steps:

Step 1: Wellness Check-Up

An annual wellness checkup is required every year to receive the reduced premium. To qualify, you must show proof that you had your wellness check-up done. Your annual wellness check-up must include:

  • A biometric screening, which includes routine blood/lab work
  • A visit with your primary care physician

Please note – all your personal information is confidential. Sierra Pump Solutions merely requires a signed doctor’s note that both of these things occurred.

Proof of completion must be provided by a signed and dated Physician's Wellness Confirmation

Form (in your new hire folder), an EOB from the insurance company, a note from your physician, which includes dates and tests completed, or any other verifiable receipt. For HIPAA privacy reasons, do not send us test results or anything with a diagnosis on it.

Please note: In order to continue with the reduced premium from year-to-year, you must show proof of your annual physical every year. You will have a 30-day grace period from the anniversary of your previous check-up to re-enroll.

Step 2: Learn About Wellness

In addition to your wellness check-up, we want you to continue learning about and practicing wellness in your life. Employees must provide proof of attendance to four or more wellness presentations presented during the plan year. You may participate in the wellness presentations even if you are not yet signed up for benefits.

Please note: The Wellness Plan is a voluntary program, therefore attendance is to be on the employee’s own time.

Step 3: Commit to Practicing Wellness in Your Life

Simply fill out the Wellness Incentive Enrollment Form and return it to Human Resources with your Wellness Check-Up proof of completion. If you complete all three steps within the first 90 days after receiving medical benefits, you will receive reimbursement for the difference in premium.

On The Move Walking Program

Move more, feel better, and earn extra money one step at a time on Sierra Pump Solutions’ walking incentive program.

What is On The Move?

Every employee can earn some extra money by meeting three simple walking goals each day:

  • Frequency - 5-minute walk, 3 times a day
  • Intensity - 3,000 steps in 30 minutes
  • Tenacity - 8,000 to 12,000 total steps for the day

How much can I earn

In addition to your personal satisfaction, sense of accomplishment, and improved health, you can earn up to $3 a day, every day of the year, including weekends and holidays!

Orientation Training

What’s the best way to learn about Sierra Pump Solutions? Get immersed in the culture on Day 1! All new hires at Sierra Pump Solutions attend orientation where they learn about our history, our culture, and our five-year strategy. New employees are introduced to our Road to Zero Safety program and Best CX (customer experience) culture so they see, first hand, who we are and what we do.

Best CX Training

Approximately 90 days after attending orientation, new employees attend Best CX, a full day of training around creating experiences for our customers that help them feel Secure – Appreciated – Effortless when doing business with us. Dealing with internal and external customers in this way is what drives customer loyalty and builds and maintains relationships for years to come.

Leadership Training

Great leaders know that to be the best requires being a lifelong learner. Our leaders attend classes on multiple topics from communication to time management. All supervisors, managers, and executives are given the opportunity to expand their current skills, and refine their existing ones, through a variety of different learning experiences including live trainings, online learning, book clubs, lunch n’ learns, and more.

Computer Skills Training

All employees are invited to attend computer skills training. Want to learn how to create a spreadsheet, use pivot tables, or do a V-Lookup? We have Excel classes you can register for. Interested in creating better documents, using different fonts, and creating more professional reports? Sign up for a Word class. Need help managing your inbox, setting up out-of-office notifications, and using meeting requests? Look for an Outlook class.

All Employee Training

There are over 300 online courses available to all employees in the Learning Center. With topics including assertiveness, accounting, communication, prioritizing, and leadership, there’s something for everyone. These classes are FREE and can be taken with the approval of an employee’s manager or supervisor.

Sierra Pump Solutions' Educational Assistance Program

Sierra Pump Solutions prides itself on being a company that values its employees. 

That’s why we offer a wide variety of benefits to our employees, including educational assistance. It is offered to help employees improve their capabilities, skills and technical knowledge relating to their current position. Also considered are programs designed to enhance your ability to assume greater responsibility or aid you in making a transition into new skills or technologies within our Company.

 After twelve (12) months of full-time employment with us, employees are eligible for reimbursement of tuition and book fees after satisfactory completion (C or above) of a job-related course. All requests under the educational assistance program must be submitted on an “Application for Educational Assistance Form”. This form needs to be forwarded to department management for approval prior to the start of class.

Personal Protective Equipment Reimbursement

Safety Shoe Reimbursement

To provide a safe work environment for employees who work in locations with a high risk of foot and toe injuries from heavy objects, Sierra Pump Solutions will reimburse employees who are required to wear steel toe safety shoes for the cost of their safety shoes, at a rate of up to $125.00 once each twelve (12) month period. If you purchase a pair of safety shoes that cost more than $125.00, the Company will reimburse you for the excess in each subsequent twelve month period at the lower of (a) the difference between the purchase price and the amount previously reimbursed for such shoes and (b) $125.00.

If the purchase price of the safety shoe exceeds $125.00, the eligible employee will be able to resubmit their original invoice/receipt or copy of the original invoice/receipt on an Expense Reimbursement Form each year to recoup $125.00 per year until they reach the purchase price. For example, boots cost $249.00. Reimbursement for year one will be $125.00. Year two will be $124.00. The eligible employee and their manager will be responsible for accurately requesting the reimbursement amount each year.

Employees who are not required to wear safety shoes on a day-to-day basis, but do need them from time to time, will be reimbursed the actual cost of the safety shoes, not to exceed $125.00, once every three years.

New hires will be eligible for reimbursement after completion of three (3) months of continuous employment.

Safety Glasses Reimbursement

Sierra Pump Solutions will provide safety glasses for all employees who work in areas designated as high risk for potential eye injuries. Sierra Pump Solutions will provide safety glasses at the entrances of such designated areas for visitors and employees who are not assigned to such designated areas.

Additionally, Sierra Pump Solutions will provide Safety Eyeglasses Vouchers toward the purchase of safety glasses with prescription lenses to employees after (90) days of continuous service.

Employees are then eligible to receive a voucher for replacement frames and/or replacement lenses every 12 months. Employees are eligible to receive Safety Eyeglasses Vouchers toward the purchase of replacement prescription lenses for safety glasses after every six (6) months of continuous employment if such lenses are pitted or in any way obstructing eyesight.

Employees may only redeem Safety Eyeglasses Vouchers at an approved provider within the dispensing network. Employees will be responsible for payment of any add-ons or upgrades in excess of the amount of their Safety Eyeglasses Vouchers at the time of purchase.
